I woke up this morning and suddenly I just felt as if there was something I should be doing. After sitting and meditating on my life, current hardships, and my relationship with God I heard that I needed to fast. I've never done it before so I am completely unsure of the details on how to go about doing it. My ignorance on the matter isnt steering me away though. I have already set my mind on doing it because I need to get my relationship with my Father back to where it used to be.
Has anyone done this before? If so, can you explain to me please?
Hello!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Anders and I found your blog today.
Fasting is done in order to spend the time one would otherwise eat, with studying the Instruction manual of the Creator and prayer. According to the Hebrew Bible, fasting without obedience to the Creator fills no function and is not desirable. Different religions teach differently about how to obey the Creator, so it is important to carefully research in order to find out what really is the Will of the Creator.
If one strives for a relationship with the Creator one must learn how to follow His Instruction manual. This is also what the first century Messiah called Yeshua, who grew up in Nazareth taught. His teachings were later redacted to the ‘gospel of Matthew’.
If Rabbi Yeshua was the Mashiach – Messiah – he must have fulfilled the Messianic prophecies of the Tan”kh -the Jewish Bible (containing the Torah [“books of Moses”] and the Jewish prophets).
One of them is Yeshayahu [”Isaiah”] 9:6 in Hebrew according to etymology – the science of the origins of words and their meaning. The prophecy describes in Hebrew that both Rabbi Yeshua ha-Mashiakh – the Messiah – and his followers will keep the directives of Torah and teach others that they must do likewise. I.e. he will keep his followers not to eat pork, not to eat shellfish, to celebrate Shabbat; and to do their utmost to keep the directives of Torah non-selectively.
Thus, both according to Torah and according to Rabbi Yeshua, it is highly essential to do ones best to keep the directives of Torah. According to the Instruction manual of the Creator, this is the only way to get a relationship with the Creator. [More can be learned on this blog of mine: Link]
If you learn more about this you can start following the historical Rabbi Yeshua, which will lead you into Torah-observance, including an immensely meaningful relationship with the Creator
I hope that you found this information helpful!
